I personally think that those who choose to follow Christ are people who have God’s peace despite their situation. I came to Christ because I realized that without Him, I am weak and I can do nothing. It is God who gives me the faith and strength to move forward.

Before I received Jesus Christ in my heart, I was full of fear — fear of the future…of not knowing what would happen. A lot of problems were making me depressed; I believed that I was the weakest person. When I received Jesus Christ into my life, I realized that life is wonderful with Him. It’s full of victories and achievements.

I have been competing as a freestyle wrestler at a high level for more than 10 years. I really love this sport because it’s very dynamic and active, which requires phenomenal physical condition, functional training and psychological stability. Wrestling not only gives me physical development, but spiritual development as well.

I am really blessed by my friends who, little by little, took me to the true path and helped me understand what it means to be an athlete who follows Christ. They helped me learn how to be an athlete who develops not only physically and intellectually, but also spiritually. In fact, the total athlete is the athlete who grows equally in all dimensions.

When you have Jesus in your heart, you can do greater things with better quality. Without Jesus in my life, I was naked, with no meaning. I was full of fear and stereotypes, but the Lord Jesus set me free. He gave me freedom in my mind, He gave me faith, and He gave me optimism for the beautiful life ahead.
