Some people don’t realize how much frustration there is in motor racing, and not just in the mistakes you make as the athlete.

When I started motor racing, there was a high life-risk; every time you went into the car you knew you could die because the track was dangerous, the car was dangerous, and the equipment was dangerous. It was a difficult thing to be a driver at that time. You might win a race but then have a small problem with the car. It is a very difficult sport, especially when you lose. You have to learn how to lose.

If you have faith, you know how to recover. The life of a Christ-follower is one of fighting and coming back stronger than before, even if you were defeated. That is my life. I had many situations where I was frustrated and wanted to retire from my sport, but I came back to fight again and again. It was only by faith I could do this.

Open your heart to God and to Jesus. You’re going to receive so much love; you’re going to receive new life! And you’re going to be able to give this same love to other people. You have to continually learn and study how to best follow Him. Grow in your Christ-centered life; it’s a completely different life than what’s in this world. With Christ, you will be able to overcome problems that seem impossible.

The love that Jesus has for you is fantastic! Open your heart to Him. You will have new life.
